We process personal data that is collected when our website is visited in accordance with the valid data protection laws and regulations, in particular the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Landesdatenschutzgesetz - DSG M-V (State Data Protection Act).

If the University requests consent for the processing of personal data from the data subject (e.g. general enquiries via email), Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR shall serve as the legal basis.
The following data is stored in log files every time a visitor accesses our website for reasons related to data security and for statistic purposes:
- IP address,
- Time website was accessed,
- User agent (browser and operating system),
- Visited pages or content and
- Referer URL, if provided (page visited previously).
The purpose of logging is to recognise, limit and eliminate malfunctions and to detect misuse in accordance with § 12(1) and (4) TDDDG. The IP addresses will not be merged with other data sets. The
data will be stored for a maximum of seven days, after which they will be stored in anonymous form for website statistics.
For participation in events
In order to participate in the events, prior registration is required. Furthermore, the registration data is processed for the planning, realisation, follow-up and evaluation of the respective event.
In addition, the full name and other personal data of participants will be processed to produce the attendance certificate, other certificate and to compile statistics. Statistical evaluations are carried out exclusively on an anonymous basis.
Types of personal data:
• Registration details: given name(s), surname, email address, nationality, country of residence, institution, country of institution, selected event(s)
• Optional registration details: title, study level
• Attendance certificate and issue of certificate: given name(s), surname, title
Period of storage:
Personal data will be deleted after the confirmation of participation or other certificates have been issued.
Recipients of the personal data:
Your data will be processed by the KreativEU project team at the University of Greifswald, with whom you registered for an event.
External trainers commissioned by KreativEU:
If the offer you have chosen is being held by external trainers, they may act as processors within the meaning of the GDPR for the University of Greifswald. If applicable, your registration details will be transferred to the respective trainer, who might process them to prepare and carry out the offer. The contact information is available in the description of the respective offer.
You are entitled to withdraw your consent for the processing of personal data at any time and without having to provide reasons, with effect for the future. The lawfulness of the data processing that has
already taken place remains unaffected by the withdrawal of consent.
You also have the right to receive information upon request and free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, the purposes, and the period of data processing. Furthermore, under certain circumstances, you have the right to the retification, restriction of the processing (e.g. blocking), erasure, and the data portability of your data.

In addition, you also have the right tolodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority for data protection, if, in your opinion, your details are not being processed in a lawful manner.
