The internship covers the following content: getting familiar with the data models of the media repository and object databases which are in use by the university-collections; learning the associated workflows; creating high-resolution digital surrogates and ingesting them into the system - including the practical creation of metadata records using controlled vocabularies; acquiring fundamental rules and routines regarding the preventive conservation of cultural heritage objects, specifically: climate control, pest monitoring, and the handling of items with biocide contamination and problematic archival materials.
